Sihanouk International Airports Project, Cambodia

The runway extension and rehabilitation project that began in 2018 at Sihanouk International Airport has been completed, with a 3.3km long runway able to accommodate larger aircraft such as the Boeing B777-300ER and Airbus A350-1000 operating long-haul direct international flights. Our Lintec CSD 2500B Containerised Asphalt Plant supplied the asphalt hot mix for this project. The production capacity, precision, and reliability of the CSD 2500B plant was called upon as there was no room for error given the short operating window for asphalt works. This CSD 2500B plant was relocated from Phnom Penh after completion of the runway resurfacing project at Phnom Penh International Airport the year before.
