The 5.554-km-long Yas Marina Circuit is located on Yas Island on the East coast of Abu Dhabi. The first Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix was in 2009 and this race became the first day-night race that started at 17:00 local time. The whole track is floodlit to ensure a seamless transition from daylight to darkness.
